App Creators gives students a hands-on introduction to computer science through the exciting world of mobile app development. As they explore real-world problems and create apps to solve them, students discover how computer science can make a meaningful difference in everyday life. Each student chooses a topic that matters to them—like health, the environment, emergency response, education, or community service—and works through the process of designing a solution. Along the way, they also explore connections to biomedical science, seeing how different fields come together to solve real challenges.

Required: computer or Chromebook for building the apps in MIT App Inventor
Recommended: Android tablet or iPad for testing mobile apps
**Chromebooks may also be used to test apps if neither an Android tablet nor iPad are not available.
